DTU offers teaching in computer aided manufacturing as part of the CAD course 41617

C

Course content for the CAM part of 41617 advanced CAD :

During 3 sessions, each approximately 4 hours, you will perform a series of exercises, giving you basic knowledge of CREO CAM. The CAM exercises consist of:

A) 3 tutorials customized for CREO, one for each week.

B) The individual task, where you have to model, do CAM programming and finally manufacture your own part

Lesson 1: Exercise instructions – basic machining & volume milling

Lesson 2: Exercise instructions – Profiling, manipulating a mill path & trajectory milling

Lesson 3: Exercise instructions – surface milling & customized milling

How do you start?

1) Download the tutorials: Lesson 1, 2 & 3

2) Copy the CREO tutorial files (P:\Courses\41617-CAM) - various reference models

3) Place all the files on your own permanent student drive (X:\) for easy access

4) Upon completion of the Lesson 1 exercises, proceed to the individual task

How to deliver: Each tutorial specifies which exercises you need to show to your instructor for approval. When all exercises in a week are completed, you can have your approval sheet signed . Please notice that your individual task has to be signed too.

If your work is not approved immediately, you must backup the manufacturing session for easy retrieval. See how to backup files.
